Inoculants information
Inculants have many grades, however, about 30 types is usually seen in our life. And Most of ferroalloy products can be used as inoculant, such as silicon calcium, ferro silicon, silicon manganese , silicon metal etc. Inculant can promote the graphitization and improve the quality of iron, especially , it can increase the toughness and hardness of steel. Inoculants is usually used in the foundry, and its effect is very good. Ferro silicon , silicon calcium , cored wire etc. both are used as inoculants.

The addition of inoculants in liquid cast iron (gray and ductile irons) allowed to:
1.improve the homogeneity of the cast iron structure
2.refine the structure (higher cells count, finer grains in the microstructure)
3.improve mechanical properties
4.separate obviously slag and metal
5.decrease tendency of micro-shrinkage
6.decrease risk of gas formation
