Cored wire technology is a new treatment in secondary steelmaking developed in recent years,
alloy core wire can purify the molten steel, change the inclusion form, improve the cast ability of the importantly,
it will increase the yield of alloy,cut down the cost and consumption.
1. Aids in optimum achievement of metallurgical and mechanical properties of finished steel.
2. Precise addition of reactive toxic and other additives into the metal.
3. Low carbon steel sheath used for tightly encasing. The powdered additive elements.
4. The shape of wire is obtained by deformation without elongation, thus permitting.
appliccation
The active element in CaSi is calcium. For aluminum-silicon-killed steels, Calcium treatment by CaSi is normally cheaper than by pure Calcium products. For the molten steel, calcium treatment is a must.
Calcium is used to transform alumina into low melting point calcium-aluminates, avoiding nozzle clogging as well as to control the shape of oxide and sulfide inclusions. During the course of deoxidation and inclusion transformation, efficient calcium treatment plays a very critical role.
