The Alumina Graphite Ladle Shroud is a tube manufactured from isostatically pressed alumina graphite material. It is custom designed for immediate connection to the Ladle Slide Gate Nozzle, gives maximum protection of the steel stream against oxidation from the atmosphere and minimizes steel splashing. It has strong adaptability to steel and has good corrosion resistance in the process of casting.
The Ladle Shroud can be classified into Al-C series, Al-Zr-C series, Mg-C series, etc according to its raw material. It can be classified into preheating type, non-preheating type, argon blowing type and non argon blowing type according to its function.All types of Ladle Shrouds containing multiple material sections and specialized design features which are used to tailor the product to customers’ casting conditions and operating practices.
