Description
Regarding the gravity pallet flow rack, pallets are placed on rollers that slope toward the pick face by gravity driven, “first in and first out” is achieved.
Pallets are fed in from one side, and retrieved from the opposite side eliminating double handling from the receiving area. Speed of throughput combined with automatic stock rotation is the major advantage of this system.
Using scope
It is suitable for storing goods with large quantity and same type taking full advantage of storage space. It is especially suit for the goods with short expiration date. Brakes should be equipped if the slope is long; separators and buffer is necessary to prevent the goods turn over.

2).Maximum capacity as this is a compact storage system.
3).Time saved when pallets are removed. All products are easily located , thus reducing fork-lift manoeuvring time, as travelling distances are minimal.
4).Highly efficient operating system. The loading aisles are sepa-rate from the unloading aisles. The fork-lifts place and remove pallets without interruptions.
5). Excellent stock control. Only one SKU(stock keeping unit )is stored in each loading aisle.
6). Easy access, as all the available SKU's are stored in the same aisle.
7).Safe, reliable system. The different elements that make up this system have been designed to ensure simple, dependable, safe handling;
Characteristics
1.Very dense storage, especially when there are few SKUs and a high number of pallet.
2.FIFO-guaranteed, making it ideal for products with shelf life or absolute rotation.
3.Secure and safe handling because the forklift truck does not enter the rack.

5.A wide range of pallets can be accommodated at the design stage.
Gravity flow racking permits dense storage by eliminating all aisles except the entrance and exit aisles.
Gravity flow racking can be integrated into an automated storage and retrieval system (AS/RS) for even greater efficiency.
