Profiles a wide variety of foam
With an abrasive cutting wire running in excess of 88m/sec, the Haien Fastwire machine can profile a wide range of rigid and flexible foams, including:
1. Flexible and rigid polyurethane (PU) foams
2. EVA foam
3. Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) foam
4. Rockwool
5. Poly-ethylene (PE) foam
6. Rebond or chip foam
7. Phenolic foams (conditions apply)
8. PVC foam
Dust extraction
The Haien Fastwire machine is supplied with a special dust extractor head that allows fitting to a wide variety of commonly available dust extractor units. The dust extractor head surrounds the cutting wire and the guide wheel and captures dust produced by the cutting process and carried out by the exiting cutting wire.
Foam blocks come in a variety of sizes and customers require a variety of different profiles. To accommodate these varied needs and available floor spaces, the Fastwire machine can be supplied to accommodate maximum block widths of 1200 or 2150mm and lengths of 2500mm (with the possibility of increasing the length)
Pipe insulation cutting
Cutting of pipe insulation is a common application in the use of foam. The Haien Fastwire machine is not only suitable for performing this function, but automates it with ease. Simply specify the inner and outer diameters of the pipe, the overlap type and the Profiler software will quickly and accurately produce the profile for nesting, costing and cutting. Different size sections can be nested in the same block to increase yield and throughput.
To compliment the versatility of the Fastwire machine, a variety of cutting wires are available to suit the multitude of materials and applications possible.
Cutting wires, each with 13 cores for strength, are available in a standard wrap, not unlike a guitar string, a more aggressive “Spiral-wrap” with a spiral ridge profile, and an even more aggressive “X wrap” with two crossing spiral ridges for very dense materials.
All the wire adopt high strength tungsten molybdenum alloy raw materials.

It is simple to use so that operators have a minimal learning curve, and yet has many features available to ensure that the software keeps pace with a business’s many requirements
