Thrust ball bearings consist of two precision washers (rings) and a ball complement spaced by retainer. They can besupplied with or without radius ball grooves in the rings. Thrust ball bearings are used under purely axial loads, and its speed is limited.
According to the capability it falls into Single Direction Thrust Ball Bearings and Double Direction Thrust Ball Bearings,
our thrust ball bearings are the particular type of the Single Direction Thrust Ball Bearings.
Thrust ball bearings are divided into single and double direction designs .The single direction bearings can only be used to carry axial load in one direction and limit the axial load in one direction and limit the axial displacement in single direction .
The doulbe direction bearings can be used to carry axial loads in both directions and limit the axial displacements in both directions .
Neither can carry radial loads .
This type of bearings suitable for applications where the rotational speed is lower .
In order to prevent detrimental movement centrifugal force during bearing in high speed the requisite minimum axial load should be applied .
Description Of thrust bearing
Bearings of series 511, 512, 513 and 514 have a flat housing locating washer. They do not permit angular misalignment or skewing between the shaft and housing.
