oxidation at high temperatures. When used as a heating element, resistance wire is usually wound
into coils.

sculptures hold their shape while they are still soft., because its ability to withstand the high
temperatures that occur when a clay work is fired in a kiln.

metal sheathed tubular elements, cartridge elements.
