Basil oil – natural antispasmodic
Basil is a plant originating from India and symbolizes the sign of welcome and it was brought to Europe by monks. It is also beneficial in case of intestinal cramps, regardless the origin of the occurrence of cramps.
Natural repellent
Basil has been used successfully as a natural repellent. It repels flies, mosquitoes and wasps so it is very effective to make an aqueous solution of basil oil during the summer period and use it as a spray for pushing them away. In addition, the essential basil oil also disinfects the air and is often used to refresh the air at the premises where a lot of people work so as to prevent the spread of respiratory infections in a group.
