There is an early and late design on the IDF carburetors. The difference is on the accelerator pump diaphram. One version has the spring built into the diaphram - the other the spring is part of the carburetor and the accelerator pump diaphram has a solid center button. This kit will fit either model

 

THE IDF SERIES WEBER CARB
With its central float chambers, full calibration capabilities, compact alloy body and wide variety of available sizes, the IDF Series has been and continues to be the winning choice for a synchronous, 2 barrel, downdraft carburetor. The IDF features diaphragm type accelerator pump circuits and ball bearing throttle shafts. When used with an adapter, the IDF will replace the Solex 40 PII carburetors used on many Porsches. The IDF is ideal for use on most opposed-cylinder engines, or on engines using IR designed intake manifolds. The IDF offers relative low cost for performance gained, the IDF is hard to beat.

FAJS developed  the IDF Series carburetors, for use in any performance environment.  The complete IDF carbs include: Extended Emulsion Tube Holders and Adjustable, Spring-Loaded Accelerator Pump Actuating Rods. These IDF carburetors are tuned to FAJS specifications.

 

 

This repair kit for a Weber carb by FAJS contains the following:

 
  • (2) Mounting gaskets
  • (1) Needle and Seat (for the float)
  • (1) Accelerator pump diaphram - early style
  • (1) Accelerator pump diaphram - late style
  • (1) Top Gasket (main body gasket)
