UHMWPE Conveyor Roller Properties:
1.Power Savings : UHMWPE rollers weigh 1/7rd as much as steel rollers do. Hence, starting torque is much lower, resulting in 20% power savings.
2. Impact resistance :UHMWPE pipe can absorb more impact since it is more resilient than steel.
3. Anti corrosion : UHMWPE rollers are resistant to salts, acids and alkalis and hence have a much longer life compared with steel rollers.
4. Antistatic formulation : UHMWPE material is antistatic and hence absolutely free from sparking.
5.Self cleaning : As the UHMWPE material is resilient, negligible fines stick to the rollers. Hence, no roller cleaning and belt off-centering is required.
6. Increased belt life : As friction between polymer and rubber is much lower than that compared between steel and rubber , belt wear is reduced, thus increasing belt life.
