What is DIODE LASER THERAPY
808-nm diode laser technology, the gold standard in laser hair removal since its introduction in 1998. Unlike earlier systems, however, DIDO-I energy penetrates deep into the dermis (where the hair follicle is located) with high average power and a rapid 10 pulse-per-second repetition rate.
Using CW Pulse™ technology allows homogeneous distribution and more effective fluence to be delivered with improved patient comfort. The unique pulse structure of incorporates two discrete pulses. The first is a preheated long pulse that safely heats the tissue; the second short pulse effectively destroys the hair follicle and its surrounding vasculature.
The Diode laser with its fixed wavelength of 800 nm is commonly used in permanent hair removal, dermal pigmentation and treatment of spider veins. This wavelength is very specific for melanin in the skin and hair follicles.
Diode treatment distributes the 800 nm laser energy beneath the skin's layers without affecting the outer layers of the skin (the epidermis). This energy selectively destroys melanin found in the hair follicles, epidermis and dermis. Pigmentary conditions such as freckles, sun damage and age spots, especially over large areas (such as the forearm, chest, back, etc) respond very well to Diode laser treatment.
