1. APPLICATION

Huge energy released by the lightning would cause the wind turbine blades damaged, insulation breakdown, control components overburdened, etc. Therefore wind power SPD has became one of the powerful guarantees for safe and normal operation of the wind turbine.

It is mainly applicable for the electronic and power supply devices lightning protection and under voltage protection in the fields of telecommunication, railway, internet, power supply, traffic and house, etc.

5. Installation Method and Attentions

1) Wiring as shown in Figure;

2) The connecting lead shall use many strands of copper wires of more than 6mm², and the earth wire shall use many strands of copper wires of more than 10mm². The connecting wire shall be as short, straight and coarse as possible. Grounding Resistance should be no less than 4Ω;

3) The front of lightning arrester shall be connected with proper fuse in series or be opened;

4) The power supply must be cut off while conducting the installation. It is prohibited to conduct the operation with the charge. The connecting lead must conform to the requirement;

5) After completing the installation, the lightning protection module shall be inserted tightly and inspected;

6) When there is RED for the fault indicator of the lightning arrester module (warning signal of remote-signaling port), it indicates that the lightning protection module has degraded and shall be replaced;

7) The SPD needn't special maintenance, but only check the connection and indicating state periodically.
