Dibsys Cable Moderm
Overview
DOCSIS system include CMTS(Headend cable network ) and CM(user end).The main function of DOCSIS Cable Modem system is transparently transmitting IP packets between the front end and the user end.
Technical principle
After the Modem Cable power, the downlink frequency of the front end is automatically searched,
and the downstream frequency is found, the uplink channel is determined from the downlink data.CMTS is connected with the front-end device, and exchange information, including the upstream level, the Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) and the IP address of the small file transfer protocol (TFTP) server, etc.Modem Cable has online features, even if the user does not use, as long as the power is not cut off, and the front end always to maintain the exchange of information, the user can always on-line.
Cable moderm has memory function, when the power is powered up, the data before the power storage are exchanged with the front data , and can quickly complete the search process.
