Usually, Anionic and non-ionic type polyacrylamide can be used as thickeners for textile printing and coating.

It has good hygroscopicity, adsorbability, dispersibility, good film-forming property and size film smoothness, high strength low elasticity, good affinity to fiber, good miscibility with natural and synthetic paste slurry.

These properties and characteristics of polyacrylamide used as fabric after treatment can generate a submissive, anti-wrinkle and mouldproof protective layer. Polyacrylamide is generally used in yarn sizing agent and textile finishing agent.

What's the Functional Principle of Polyacrylamide?

Flocculation Mechanism:

Adsorbing suspension particles, polymer chains entangle and cross-link each other to form bridging, and make flocculation structure enlarge and thicken, and has the functions of surface adsorption and electric neutralization.

Reinforcing Mechanism:

PAM molecule chain and dispersed phase form bridging bond, ion bond and covalent bond to increase combination strength.
