This solar energy tube is made up of two borosilicate glass 3.3 which can withstand high pressure and the rasistance of the steel ball from the height of 450mm.

 

The principal of insulation is just like the glass lined thermos flask,the vacuum plays an important role of insulator.That is because once the vacuum tube absorb radiation from sun and convert it into heat,the vacuum helps not to lose heat.The insulation character is so good that while the inside of this tube maybe 300°c, the outer tube is cold to touch,this means such tube can perform well even in very cold weather.
