SCSI stands for Small Computer System Interface, and is an independent processors standard of system-level interface between computer and intelligent devices (hard drives, floppy drives, optical drives, printers, scanners, etc). This interface has following features:
1) SCSI interface is a common interface, the SCSI bus can connect host adapter and eight SCSI peripheral controllers Peripherals may include disk, tape, CD-ROM, CD-RW drives, printers, scanners and communications equipment.
2) SCSI is a multi-task interface, with bus arbitration function. A number of peripherals on the SCSI bus can work simultaneously.
3) SCSI interface can transmit date synchronously or asynchronously. The synchronous transfer rate can be 10MB / s, and asynchronous transfer rate can be 1.5MB / s
