OPGW optical fiber cable for high voltage use 12 core optical fibea cable
OPGW is a type of cable structure with composite of optical transmission and overhead ground wire for power transmission. It’s working in power transmission line both as optical fiber cable and overhead ground wire which can provide protection of lightning strike and conducting short circuit currency.
Packaging Detalis:
The OPGW shall be tightly and uniformly wound on a strong wood-iron reel which conforms to ANSI/AA 53-1981 or equal. The reel shall be lagged with stout wood-iron battens so as to prevent the OPGW from damage in ordinary shipping, handling, storage and stringing operations.

1.Stainless-steel optical fiber unit of central loose tube and other wires are twisted simultaneously.
2.Fiber can get a better excess length in the stainless steel tube. Of the layer stranding structure, the stainless steel tube optical unit is located at the second layer, so it can produce larger and more stable excess length by twisting.
3.Precise design of the cable cross-section ensures the electrical properties, mechanical and physical properties, and thermal stability of the cable.
OPGW optical fiber cable for high voltage use 12 core optical fiber cable
1.According to the technical conditions, we can get the required products on the promise of not to change the cable structure and composition ratio of aluminum steel section.
2.Compared with aluminum tube structure, the OPGW cable with thin-walled stainless steel tube structure can bear greater lateral pressure and impact.
3.Stainless steel tube filled with ointment can prevent the moisture or water infiltration. The cable can have good temperature characteristics through adjusting the fiber length.
4.Aluminum clad steel wire with high-strength and low-conductivity bears the load of OPGW dead weight and external load. According to charge skin effect principle, the dredge of overload or fault short circuit current is conducive to the protection of the optical fiber.
5.Fiber optic cable and conventional overhead ground wire has similar mechanical and electrical
characteristics. The dual function of the optical cable facilitates the replacement of the old ground wires, and the design and installation of the new ground wires.
6.The precisely controlled fiber length ensures the cable has the ability to withstand high loads and large span.
