Introduction
Three Roll Mill has three horizontally positioned rollers. Each roller rotates in an opposite direction from the adjacent roller with a tiny gap between them, creating tremendous shear force that can finely disperse, mix, refine or homogenize viscous materials. It is widely used to mix thick and viscous materials like high performance ceramics, cosmetics, plastisols, carbon/graphite, paints, printing inks, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, glass coatings, dental composites, pigment, coatings, adhesives, sealants, and foods.
Working principle
Adjust the space between rollers based on the fineness requirement. Start the machine and feed the raw materials into the feeding plate between slow and middle roller. The materials will be squeezed and rubbed during the rollers, then brought to the fast roller for further grinding. At the same time, the materials are scraped by the discharge blades and flow to the feeding hopper which forms a milling circulation.
Structure
This three roll mill consists of motor base, guide cover, roller axle base, feeding plate, discharge hopper, cooling device, gear wheel and belt wheel. The two guide rails support the six bearing seats of the three rollers. Among them, two of mid-rollers are fixed with motor base and guide cover separately which cannot move. While the bearing seats of fast and slow rollers can be adjusted through the handwheel pressure spring , thus move forward and back to achieve the required fineness.
