Sodium gluconate is a polyhydroxy carboxylate, also known as: gluconic acid. Formula: C6H11O7Na; molecular weight: 218.14; HS code: 2918160000;CAS: 527-07-1. The appearance is white or light yellow crystalline granules or powder, easily soluble in water, slightly soluble in alcohol, insoluble in ether. Mainly used as acid-base balance agents, water quality stabilizer, surface cleaners, cement admixtures, retarders, etc. Sodium gluconate is widely used in industry, such as efficient chelating agent in the construction, textile and metal surface treatment and water treatment and other industries, the steel surface cleaners, glass bottle cleaners, electroplating industry aluminum oxide coloring, in the concrete industry used as efficient retarder, superplasticizer etc.
