This style quilted duvets can't be commerical machine washable and dyable (Due to their filling materil can't be washed,if washed,will change its shape and filling power). We do not recommend pre-washing it and instead suggest using it right away for maximum enjoyment( you can always add a duvet cover later on if you really want one)
