  High Dose Rate γ-ray Remote Control Afterloading system,is a new kind of treatment equipment for tumor patients developed in 1980s.On the basis of the radial image technology, radiophysics,dosiology,and computer technology, it modifies the disadvantages of former afterloading units,such as low resource dose rate,low accuracy,long treatment time,radiolesion to employees. It enlarges the application of afterloading technology from the treatment of gynecologic tumor to the treatment of the tumors of nasopharynx, gullet, bronchus, rectum, bladder, gl andula mammaria,pancreas and so on.It may be appliedfor radiation of intracavity, inter-tissue and canalis.As a new kind of treatment equipment,it is excellent in clinical application.

  The system consists of three relatively independent units: treatment plan system(TPS), control system, and therapy equipment. Control system and TPS are controlled by PCs and the therapy equipment is controlled by programmable controller.Thus,the efficiency and stability have been greatly improved.
 I.Treatment Plan System:
1) In order to operate easily,advanced Windows interface and interactive menu is being applied.
2) The input instrument for X-ray image or CT image is scanner or digitizer.
3) Image may be reconstructed by orthogonal,semi-orthogonal, homocentric, variable angle, and so on.
4) Having optimizing computing module,the distribution curve of isodose is calculated and drawn automatically.
5) Treatment plan is printed by printer.
6) The decay calculation of radioactive source activity is made automatically.
 II.Control System:
1)To guarantee the safety,Pentium CPU DELL compatible PC and Siemens programmable controller are applied for upper unit and lower unit respectively.
2)By the use of high-precision stepper motor and driver in source delivery, the maximum source positioning reset accuracy is≤0.5mm.
3)Time for source in and out is less than 5 seconds.
4)Time resident accuracy is 0.1 second.
5)Various interlock systems to guarantee safety operation of unit,such as forced source back device,malfunction alarm,etc.
6)Equipped with UPS,retrieving radiation source and saving treatment information will be made automatically in power supply interruption.
III.Treatment System:
1)Radiation source is single-grained high activity micro iridium-192.
2)2 sets of independent systems:cold source system and heat source system.
3)Equipped with various source application devices,the equipment may be applied for execution of radiotherapy in intracavity, canalis,intertissue,and in operation.
4)It is convenient and reliable with its automatic source conversion system.
