The ZXV10 W901 V2 is an Access Controller (AC) designed for government and business users. It is an embedded portal server with a strong ability for WLAN access control and user authentication. Other features are also achieved by the AC, such as, Plug and Play, compact design, high reliability, rich service types, high accuracy and flexible billing, fine user control management, sound RF management, high security, fast roaming, etc. It can be widely used in the WLAN access for government, enterprises, hotels, public hotspots, and other scenarios.
Various Access Modes
The ZXV10 W901 V2 supports many access modes including fixed-physical-location–based access, user-MAC-address-based access, port-based access, IP-address-based access, VLAN-based access and session-binding access.
Users accessed by ATM, CABLE and ADSL can be supported by Ethernet bridging.
Flexible Device Management
The ZXV10 W901 V2 provides management for network devices including resource configuration, fault management, performance monitoring, security management, and billing management.
The ZXV10 W901 V2 supports various user interfaces, Telnet, Console, two physical management interfaces namely ETHERNET and SERIAL, various command settings and friendly GUI. All these features make device management more convenient and effective.
Multiple-Way Traffic Management
The ZXV10 W901 V2 traffic management allows rate limiting based on each user, policing rate limiting and management based on service levels. It also provides flow forecasting in order to manage networks better.
High-Speed Route Forwarding Capability
The ZXV10 W901 V2 uses a dedicated network processor chip to achieve parallel processing of multiple forwarding engines, Layer 2 encapsulation processing of IP packets, as well as Layer 3 source address routing, destination address routing, PPP session route forwarding, etc. It has high data processing and route forwarding capability, enabling end users to obtain good experience.
Various Accounting Policies
The ZXV10 W901 V2 supports RADIUS-based authentication, accounting and administration. The billing models include: online duration, data traffic, DHCP, fixed physical address (port, VLANs, the MAC or IP binding). The Internet users can be charged byonline duration or traffic.
The ZXV10 W901 V2 supports the backup accounting server, reconciliation accounting server, real-time accounting and large traffic accounting.
Reliable Wireless Access
The ZXV10 W901 V2 can provide the following functions for access control:
Strict isolation via VLAN at Layer 2
PAP, CHAP user password checking
RADIUS authentication and authorization
Prevention of IP/MAC fabrication
Limitation on the amount of DHCP users for each port or VLAN
Various Device Security Policies
dual-system hot backup for load balancing
Traffic management that prevents massive traffic attacks
Secure network management including passwords, interface limit and out-band network management
