ZXMSG 9000 Highlights
ZXMSG 9000 is a top media gateway with leading technology worldwide. It has the characteristics of carrier-class, large capacity, high density and flexible networking. ZXMSG 9000 could be used as Trunk Gateway (TG), Signaling Gateway (SG), Media Server (MS), or combination of all of them. It supports switching from TDM to TDM, from TDM to IP, or from IP to IP.
ZXMSG 9000 has many highlights as listed below:
1, Mature, High Stability, Rich Experiences
ZXMSG 9000 has been commercially deployed since 2000. It has been proved to be a successful product with its rich experience around the world.
In 2005, China Telecom exclusively chose ZTE to construct DC1 project which is the largest NLD (National Long-Distance) in the world, ZXMSG 9000 had been deployed in 8 region centers and 31 sites serving 220M subscribers.
Since 2006, ZTE has snatched over 71% share of Indian market including BSNL, MTNL, TTSL, VSNL and Aircel with over 5 million ports total capacity.
In 2006, ZTE deployed a single-set of ZXMSG9000 with 170,000 trunk ports in the PSTN migration project of Shanghai China telecom, which is the largest capacity of a single-set deployment in the world at present.
2, Abundant Functions, High Density Large Capacity, Lower CAPEX/OPEX
Full Range of Product Series
ZXMSG 9000 product family provides a flexible capacity selection for the customers, it can extend from the medium capacity (256E1~1024 E1) to the largest capacity with 11,200 E1 support.
High Density Large Capacity
ZXMSG 9000 has the characteristics of high density with 32 E1 or 2 STM-1 interfaces in a TDM board and 3200 VoIP channels in a VoIP processing board.
ü As an independent TG, ZXMSG 9000 provides a maximum of 336,000 ports including TDM and VoIP, and the ratio of TDM to VoIP can be adjusted according to different scenarios.
ü As an independent SG, ZXMSG 9000 supports a maximum of 6144 64K or 768 2M SS7 links.
Multiple Voice Codec Support
ZXMSG 9000 supports G.711, G.729a/b, G.723.1, G.728, G.726, AMR, EVRC, G.722, G.722.2, GSM-FR and iLBC algorithms. It can adopt codec dynamically according to the bearer network and gateway processing status to provide high QoS for voice.
Perfect Signaling Support
ZXMSG 9000 supports SS7, R2, R1, R5, PRI, V5, SIGTRAN (SCTP, M3UA, M2UA, M2PA, IUA, V5UA) and H.248/Megaco.
Robust Fax/Modem Processing Function
It supports T.30, T.38, clear mode, VBD and ZTE patent Robust protocol to ensure the Fax transmission quality and Modem signaling effectively.
Hair-Pin Function
ZXMSG 9000 provides a Hair-Pin function. It completes the call connection by TDM switch directly instead of transforming the TDM stream to IP side and reduces VoIP Codec resource.
International Gateway Function
ZXMSG 9000 works as an international gateway for media interworking between packet network and TDM network. It provides mainly CAS signaling used in the international gateway.
Go Green
As an important network element of NGN, ZXMSG 9000 adopts intelligent Power Saving Technology which can dynamically adjust the work mode of the none load chips into idle state. With the Green intelligent power saving mechanism, at most 40% power consumption can be saved.
3, High Reliability, Guaranteed QoS
High Reliability
ZXMSG 9000 boards are designed in active/standby mode, in case active board fails standby takes the charge in place of active board without any system shutdown and interruption. ZXMSG 9000 supports dual homing function to deal with the Softswitch equipment failure. When the connection between Softswitch and ZXMSG 9000 is broken or Softswitch equipment fails, ZXMSG 9000 is capable to detect this fault and register to another SS meanwhile the current calls would not be interrupted.
Guaranteed QoS
Active QoS inspection technique is adopted to guarantee the quality of service. Especially when package loss, jitter or delay in a call process happens, the gateway would report the alarm which facilitates the QoS inspection. Furthermore, ZXMSG 9000 implements world leading detection functionalities such as MOS/R-FACTOR, RERL(residual echo return loss) measurements and others to guarantee the voice quality.
