1.1 System Description
1.1.1 Product overview
This system is a high-tech product responding the development of computer technology and foreign advanced scientific technology
by our hard working. This set of simulated training system is mainly for training the users how to manipulate the
traveling crane high in the workshop and to transport the materials to the storage or needed position. This
crane simulation system is a completely immersing simulation and interactive equipment and can present a
bright 3D virtual scene.
Simulation technology for the training of crane operator is a virtual operating trainer with true cab and operator
by the help of computer. It makes the training staff being personally on the scene when receiving training on
the trainer. And it makes them quickly get the reality machine operating experience for their steady foundation
of true operation in the future so that it can reduce the loss because of the fault.
1.1.2 System characteristic
(1) It has entirely real operating and control platform and driving and operating equipments in real machine. It
can carry our simulating operation of every part in hoisting machinery. It has virtual scene, real operation, real
feeling and it can make great advantage for safe, efficient and adaptive phase mounting guarding in future.
(2) This system has dynamical model and vivid real-time simulating action. It applies virtual reality technology and students can get the visual scene of reality of
every unit when they are starting, running and braking. We can simulate working condition in all kinds of s
ituation according to the requirement.
(3) Students send the signal to the computer by his operation to the cam controller in the operating platform,
and the virtual crane makes the corresponding action in a short time. So that is simulates the whole process of
real machine demonstrating by computer three dimensional figures.
(4) Full set of crane simulating training system include teaching module and exam module. It can carry out
passing barrier operation by manipulating the crane model, and the system can reach the operating result
according to the operating sequence, quality and recovery processing.
(5) All virtual scenes in the software are all built by 3D modeling according to the real working environment.
(6) This system can reach functions of students practice, theory studying and exam.
(7) By this set of software, it can avoid high investment of the enterprise as well as make the students getting
full practice. The simulating environment as in the field can make the students take part in the real job with no
probation period after their full study of the course.
1.2 System Compositions
Software of this system is made up of three exam items: putting in exam, Passing frame and circling pole.
This part of software is mainly developed approximating rule of real crane adopting mechanical algorithm. It can
perfectly reach the mechanical simulating calculation of six directions of cart, dolly and hook. All these actions
or state of the crane: start, accelerating, constant velocity, moderating, coasting, stop, reverse moderating, and
reverse speed and moderating speed can all be reached in this software.
This system adopts hook following visual-angle, and users can change the visual-angle by direction key (↑↓←→) when necessary.
1.2.1 Putting in exam (Exam Item 1)
1.2.1.1 Slinging round bar steel and parking in a fixed point
1.2.1.2 Exam method
After receiving the command signal, the students should sling the round bar steel first, put it in cycle A, then
sling again and put in cyrcle B. In 1 minute and full mark is 20 score.
1.2.1.3 Score deducting standard
It is deducted 4 score when the round bar steel is out of the inner cycle, and 7 score when out of the middle
cycle, 10 scores when out of outside cycle.
1.2.2 Passing frame exam (Exam item 2)
1.2.2.1 Slinging the round bar steel to pass by the frame
1.2.2.2 Method of exam
After receiving the command signal, the students should sling the round bar steel from position A, then loop
through all the frames, and put it in position B. It is forbidden to take back off on the running way. Experiment is
in 1 minute and full mark is 30 score.
1.2.2.3 Score deducting standard
It is deducted 5 score if the round bar steel touch the frame, 2 score when the bucket is out of the inner cycle, 4
score when out of the middle cycle, 5 score when out of outside cycle.
1.2.3 Circling pole exam (Exam item 3)
1.2.3.1 Slinging the bucket, running in a curve and positioning in a fixed point.
1.2.3.2 Method of exam
After receiving the command signal, the students should sling the bucket from position A away from the ground,
running in a horizontal line according to the way showing in the figure, once to fall in after running above cycle
B, and put it into cycle B. Then the operator should sling the bucket from position B and orderly put it into cycle
C and cycle A. It is allowed to pause one time in the way the falling process of putting in into cycle C and cycle
A.
1.2.3.3 Time limit
Above two operations should be finished in four minutes. And the system will stop running id it overtops four
minutes, and giving a prompt of time-out.
