Nitrile rubber is a copolymer of butadiene and acrylonitrile. In addition to its excellent elastomeric properties, it is resistant to oil, caustics, and aliphatic hydrocarbons. Nitrile is not suitable for solvents and chlorinated hydrocarbons. Its maximum temperature limit is 80ºC.  Nitrile Rubber is also referred to as Buna-N Rubber.

Description:  Nitrile rubber rolls are available for a range of applications in the industrial and residential markets.  This type of Nitrile rubber has excellent stretching capabilities while remaining strong enough to be elastic.  Nitrile Buna N rubber rolls are available in 50 to 80 durometer and can be ordered in other durometers by special request.  With an average elongation of 350% and an average of 1,000 PSI tensile strength, Nitrile rubber rolls will handle most tough industrial environments and moderate to heavy alkaline and chemical resistive situations. Also known as NBR rubber and Buna N rubber.
