A range of current load in the table is only for the ac arc furnace. When used for dc arc furnace and refining furnace, electric current can be appropriately increased.
Remarks:
1:When actual use , should be based on specific furnace condition to choose the specifications and grades of graphite electrode. The primary factor is the maximum current intensity, but also considers other factors, such as the characteristics of the electric furnace itself, the type of furnace charge, smelting time, oxygen blowing and mechanical requirements and steelmaking process system, and so on.
2:Usually, most grades of graphite electrodes physical and chemical indicators have been standardized. But in use process, sometimes also need to consider the impact of temperature on some indicators.
The matters needing attention when using graphite electrode:
1: According to the electric furnace transformer capacity and load, choose appropriate grade and diameter of the electrode
2: Electric furnace charging, large burden should be placed in the bottom of the furnace, so as not to burden fall fractured electrode. In the process of smelting, should avoid a lot of lime and other non-conductive objects gathered just below the electrode, otherwise it will affect the electrode electricity, even lead electrodes break.
3: Pay attention to the position of furnace cover. If the furnaces cover deviation, the electrode will touch the furnace cover if the furnace cover in lifting, and cause electrode damage
4: When connecting the electrodes, if there is joint bolt defect and should be replaced before connecting filled
5: after connected the graphite electrode, you should to check the attach surface, if find gap, you must to find out the cause. And You can use it until the gap disappeared.
6: The electrode must be vertical use , It is forbidden to tilt
7: Electrode holder should be sandwiched between the up and down of the top electrode parts between two lines. Do not clip in line (joint hole) and in the middle of the electrode, electrode column break easily otherwise.
8:Because of different manufacturers of raw materials and production processes may differ, their physical and chemical properties of the electrodes also have some differences, it is recommended that not to swop use joints and electrodes of different manufacturers
Do you know our material of the graphite electrode?
The regular power graphite electrode is made from petroleum coke with a little pitch, which meets the state standards YB/T4088-2000
The high power graphite electrode is made form 70% petroleum coke and 30% imported needle coke, which meets the state standards YB/T4089-2000
The ultra high power graphite electrode is made form 100% imported needle coke, which meets the state standards YB/T 4090-200
Note: Needle coke is one kinds of very important material to produce the high grade graphite electrode, which is rapid development in carbon graphite industry. The needle coke own the following characteristics: low electric resistance, low dilatation coefficient, good electric and thermal conductivity, high oxidation resistance, greater resistance to thermal and mechanical shock, high mechanical strength, high machining accuracy, low consume.
Do you know how many kinds of our graphite electrode?
1, according to the power, we have regular power, high power, super high power, super high power and American Ucar standard.
2, according to the shape, we have round shape and square shape.
3, according to the size, the diameter is from 250mm to 700mm
Note: Needle coke is one kinds of very important material to produce the high grade graphite electrode, which is rapid development in carbon graphite industry. The needle coke own the following characteristics: low electric resistance, low dilatation coefficient, good electric and thermal conductivity, high oxidation resistance, greater resistance to thermal and mechanical shock, high mechanical strength, high machining accuracy, low consume.
Do you know the use of the graphite electrode?
1, It is used for the electric arc furnace steel making. (About 70-80% graphite electrode is used for steel making).
2, It is used for the submerged arc furnace, including melting iron alloy, pure silicon, yellow phosphorus, matte, calcium carbide and so on.
3, It is used for the resistance furnace, such as the graphite making, melting glass, silicon carbide making and so on.
