HS-1202A Mammary-Gland Diagnostic Equipment
HS-12 series mammary-gland diagnostic equipment is designed based on the principle that human tissue absorbs infrared rays selectively. Infrared rays from probe irradiate and pass through breast tissue and images of the irradiated breast display on the screen clearly. Images of the breast with cancer are different from those of normal breast or beast with other diseases. In that the cancer region, with high concentration of blood, allows little light to pass through and form a gray shadow because hemoglobin in blood absorbs infrared easily. Therefore the gray shadows together with the shadows of the veins that carry the metabolite waste of cancer cells form the special image of mammary cancer.

It is applied for clinical diagnosis of all kinds of breast diseases, especially for the detection of mammary cancers.
