Bridge Bearings:
This bearing is desirable for bridges. Pot bearing is economical due to simpleconstruction method and it is structurally more compact, light, and lower in construction height and long service life. The main part of bearing are sliding plate,alloy
steel sliding surface, bearing pot, PTFE disc, pot cover, vulcanized-inpressure seal, elastomeric pad and seal against moisture.
The bearing is classified as three types: sliding guided type, free sliding bearing and fixed type.Dimensions and weights
for deviating permissible concrete pressures and unusual load conditions will be calculated on request. Depending on the area of application and country requirements pot bearings can be supplied in accordance with various standards, e.g. DIN 4141, BS5400, AASHTO, JT391, etc .

Description of Highway Bridge Bearing:
Highway Bridge Bearing is made of multilayer natural rubber and sheet steel after inlay, conglutinate, vulcanization. It has enough vertical stiffness to support vertical load, and it could deliver the pressure of superstructure to abutment. A bridge basically consists of bridge deck supported by piers. In order to avoid over stressing and damage by movements of vehicle
and loading to the piers, Rubber bridge bearings are used to accommodate these movements so as to reduce the reaction forces and bending movement to within the safety limits of structure. Natural Rubber is an ideal engineering material for bridge bearings as it is highly elastic and sufficiently soft to accommodate these movements without transmitting harmful stress and also it can absorb and isolate energies from impacts and vibrations.
Application of Highway Bridge Bearing:
Highway Bridge Bearing is finding ever increasing application in today’s construction industry. Although used extensively in Bridges, bearing pads are being specified in a wide variety of applications where flexible structural support and/ or vibration isolation is required. The typical application range is from concrete buildings and parking garages to heavy industrial equipment, storage tanks and pipe supports.
Structure of Highway Bridge Bearing:
Highway Bridge Bearing is made of multiple layers of rubber sandwiched with and bound to thin steel sheets, and then through vulcanization. The vertical rigidity is sufficient to bear the perpendicular load and to shift the pressure reliably from
the superstructure to the piers. The elasticity of the Highway Bridge Bearing is high enough to suit the rotation of the beam
end. The shear deformation of the Rubber bridge bearing is sufficient to cope with the horizontal displacement of the super structure
