Red Hot Excelsior Chutting Machine
I Brief Introduction
Wood wool, known primarily as excelsior in North America, is a product made of wood slivers, cut from logs, mainly used in packaging, for the cooling pads in home evaporative cooling systems known as swamp coolers, for erosion control mats, and as a raw material for the production of other products such as bonded-wood-wool boards.
A sustainable product, harvested from fast-growing soft-woods, two of which are planted for every one that is removed, Pickl-It customers have repurposed their wood wool in many creative ways:

v Making their own reproduction-style teddy bears and dolls
v Layered on indoor plant surface; helps to retain moisture in the soil, while allowing air through to prevent build-up of mold
v Beds for chickens! They love to play with the strands and use them for nesting material
v Decorative packing material for gift boxes (used by high-end gift-basket shops)
v Add to acrylic paints, providing texture to paintings
