The principle of HID ( High intensity discharge lamp system ) is the anti-ultraviolet UV-cut crystal quartz glass tube is filled with a variety of chemical gases, most of which is such as Xenon (Xenon) with iodide and an inert gas, and then through the supercharger (Ballast) transform the low pressure (eg 12 volts) DC voltage instantaneously pressurized to 23,000 volts. under the electricity of high-pressure, xenon amplitude in quartz tube,free electronics are lighten between two electrodes, which is called the gas discharge. The super-white light from the xenon, can significantly improve the light color temperature value, similar to the daytime sun light, therefore HID brightness is three times of the traditional halogen bulbs.
Motorcycle HID installation process:
Step one: Turn off the power, let motorcycle cool down for ten minutes before installation in order to avoid electric shock or scald during installation;
Step Two: Use a multimeter to test the car's voltage and current,it requires voltage reaches above 11V, current up to higher than 5A without starting the engine.
Step Three: Disassemble the motorcycle headlight front cover, loosen the original car headlight cable and waterproof cover, remove the original car headlights;
Step Four: Choose the lamp base (P43t, BA20d,etc) according to the lamp type.
(Universal HID model can replace 95% of lamp);
Step Five: Install the HID bulb on the lamp holder;
Step Six: Select the appropriate space to install the ballast (ballast outlet line must be faced down), connect the HID wire with the ballast high-tension line. (Note: high-tension lines can not be cut,connected with other line to lengthen the original line is prohibited, Once the high-tension lines is man-made damage,warranty will no longer valid);
Step Seven: Connect the HID lamp's positive and negative power line to the motorcycle power cable;
Step Eight: Reconfirmed the positive and negative line is connected correctly. HID bulbs, ballasts, power line group and motorcycles are firmly connected;
Step Night: Start motorcycle engine and turn on the headlight, check the bulb's light angle, if it is appropriate, the distance light will be straight and clear.
