The high-speed steel tap XPF series enables 35HRC machining with high lubricity
and low cutting resistance, even for high hardness materials.
The taps come in a range of sizes from small M1 (small diameter) to M45.
They also boast excellent durability even with chlorine-free water-soluble cutting oil.
These taps demonstrate excellent performance with high hardness steel above 35HRC.
Using high-grade powdered high-speed steel and superfine cemented carbide (XPM),
which combines high toughness and wear resistance,
the taps are given a highly wear resistant V coating to maximize the welding base
materials special characteristics,
and as a result, they possess excellent chipping resistance and high rigidity.
With these taps, the machining of previously problematic,
high hardness material is possible.
The special thread specifications allow the manufacture of high quality threads
with fewer burrs resulting from manufacturing.
Thanks to the use of powdered high speed steel (CPM) which combines high wear resistance
and toughness, stable tapping performance can be achieved.
The surface has a CrN coating, which has a low coefficient of friction,
excels in wear resistance, and has excellent anti-fusing properties.
This ensures consistent durability. It features a rigid neck portion that resists breakage.
Ideal for the machining of HDD and other stainless steels
in the wake of advances in miniaturization.
The WX-PNC is a single tap that allows the machining of right and left-hand threads
and external and internal threads, even if the work piece has a differing external diameter,
providing that the pitch is equal.
The VP Nu-Roll Tap series with extra long tool life is applicable to various work materials :
carbon steels, alloy steels, general structural steels, stainless steels, aluminum, and cast metal.
It performs especially well with stainless steels.
