Cold-applied Anticorrosion Tape
Polyethylene adhesive tape is tape-shaped Rubber Adhesive layer and Polyethylene Backing
Cold applied adhesive tape coating systems for anticorrosion of field joints, fittings, and specifically piping. The Adhesive is a key in ground performance characteristic coupled with the low and high density polyethylene backing. This kind of tape can be applied by hand or with a wrapping machine.
Applications
Protective tape (outer tape) Polyethylene is used as the base material which is coated by the liquid butyl rubber film, both of which are pressed and compounded. The film of protective tape is thicker and higher in intensity.
Protective tape will protect the pipe and its anti-corrosion tape surface from damages.
Joint wrap tape is mainly used on underground, underwater and overhead pipelines. The major function for this tape is for anti-corrosion of pipe
Anti-corrosion tape (Inner tape) Polyethylene is used as the base material which is coated by the liquid butyl rubber film, both of which are pressed and compounded. Usually the film is thinner than the one of anti-corrosion tape while the adhesive layer is much thicker.
