Built in 1997 by the Meyer Werft shipyard, Germany, Mein Schiff 2 is a Century class cruise ship which previously named Mercury and Celebrity Mercury owned by Celebrity Cruises.
During the cruises from Charleston, South Carolina to the eastern Caribbean in February 2010, a doctor and two nurses joined the ship midway to assist with the outbreak of Norovirus, sickening nearly 500 people on board, out of over 1,800.
The Mein Schiff 2 is now represented as a wooden cruise ship model by LD VINA’s skillful craftsmen. It took hundred of hours for a skilled craftsman to complete this model because everything is made by hands from scratch with Plank On Frame Construction Method.
You can see that the model looks as real as it was. However, please keep in mind that our model boats and model ships are not in kit forms and we don’t use any sort of plastic molding but wood and metal.
Model is ready for display with a wooden stand and a brass name plate.
