Warranty:
1. This product comes with one-year warranty. Buyers must contact us first for the exchange within the warranty period.
2. All the products will be 100% test before delivery.
3. Our warranty does not extend to any products that are physically damaged or are not under normal operating conditions as a result of misuse or improper installation on the buyer's part.
4. We will provide a Returned Merchandise Authorization (RMA) Number for each item that needs returning. We do not accept the returns without a RMA number.
5. The returns should be returned with our original packages.
6. Defective products must be returned within 30 days from the RMA issuing date. Otherwise, no replacement will be made.
7. Customers must contact us first for the return address.
8. No refund is accepted after 30 days of receipt.
9. The returns made for non-defective merchandise will be charged a up to 30% restocking fee.
10. In all cases, buyers pay for the shipping fees at their own cost to return products for exchange or refund. We will be responsible for the postage of replacements.
11. The refund will be made upon receipt of the return item. After we receive the product, we inspect it to determine the cause of any defect, then update by email with our findings. This processusually takes five business days.
What should I notice when using e-paper display?
1. The operating temperature of e-paper display is 0~50C, please be sure that your work environment is suitable.
2. Before connecting these input/output ports, please check the e-paper display is segment type or dot matrix type.If it is segment type, check it with controller IC or not.
3. The main substrate for dot matrix e-paper display is glass, so please use a suitable force when assembing it.To avoid broken, please package it well before delivery.
4. If you use our demo for driving the dot matrix e-paper, the power input for demo is DC5V.
5. If you use our three color dot matrix e-paper, please do not place it facedown, so that the background will not became pink
Do you support customization of segment e-paper?
Yes, of course. Please confirm following details:
1) Flexible or Not Flexible
2) Unchanged Outline size or Active Area
3) Display content--need draft drawing
4) With controller or not, with MCU or not.
What is the difference between an Matrix display and an Segmented display?
The underlying ePaper technology is very similar but is tuned to the needs of the different applications of a Matrix display versus a Segmented display.
Matrix displays are intended for applications requiring the display of many different forms of text and images. These displays comprise of a large array of pixels. These individual pixels are controlled by a TFT array similar to what you will have a typical computer monitor or TV screen.
Segmented displays are intended for applications where the display requirements can be met using predefined segments that can be turned on or off. This is similar to what one would see in a typical calculator with a numeric or alphanumeric display.
Basically will the display be made up of an array of pixels or by a collection of predefined shapes.
What is minimum purchase quantity for Matrix displays?
You can purchase one unit matrix display for standard products, but you must have 100,000 unit and even more volume for custom products, this varies based on the size and requirements of the display application and whether it is a custom or standard size display. It is best to discuss your requirements with a member of our sales team.
What is the pricing for IFLABEL Matrix displays?
Pricing for Matrix displays depends on volumes and whether the display is a custom or standard display. The main driver of pricing is the overall display size, whether the display is monochrome or color.
How large/small can Matrix e-ink displays be?
The size and shape of a Matrix e-ink display is totally dictated by the size of the electrical backplane that the FPL is laminated to. Displays can be very small or very large. E Ink has standard display modules. Almost any size and shape can be made depending on the volumes.
What voltage is required to drive a Matrix e-ink display?
The drive for E Ink displays is typically 15 volts. An ecosystem of electronic components exists for design of complete epaper systems.
How much power does a Matrix e-ink display consume?
Matrix e-ink displays are bi-stable. This means that they only consume power while the display is being updated. No power is required to maintain an image after it has been updated. The power required to for the update process depends on the size of the display but is of the order of microwatts.
Does IFLABEL have developer kits for Matrix products?
Yes there are developer kits available for Matrix products from iflabel. These kits are not available for general sale. They are available for customers who are evaluating a display for incorporating into an end product. The best way to access the kits is by contacting sales
What is waveform?
Waveform are predefined voltage impulse sequences used by display controller to manipulate ink.
The voltage sequence and temperature range are stored in a lookup Table(LUT) and is precisely paired to the display by production lots to enable precise placement of pigment to achieve accurate gray-level.
