Insert bearings are basically one kind of deep groove ball bearings which are sealed at both sides, have a convex sphered outside diameter on the outer ring, and have an inner ring - with the exception of two series - which is extended at one or both sides.
Insert Bearings are designed in almost the same way as deep groove ball bearings, except that the outer ring is spherical. Their design allows the bearings to be easily mounted in a housing block and be self-aligning.
Bearing Inserts, commonly known as a wide inner ring bearing, are basically deep groove ball bearings to the internationally popular 6200 series configuration with integral design features making them more functional and versatile than the standard ball bearing.
Insert bearing housing
1. The insert bearings are single deep groove ball bearings which have an inner ring that is extended on one or both sides. And this type bearings are basically sealed deep groove ball bearings with a convex sphered outer surface.
2. The insert bearings are mounted in appropriate housings to form bearing units
3.. The various bearing series differ in the way the bearing is located onto the shaft.
4.. There are main three ways in which the insert bearings are locked on to the shaft:
(1). the grub screw locking;
(2). the eccentric locking collar;
(3). the adapter sleeve.
5. These bearings are suitable for applications where bearings are exposed to heavy dust and water contamination
