Brief Introduction to RAM Blowout Preventer:
The RAM blowout preventers(BOP) is an integral part of well control equipment, featuring flexible closings and openings, easy operation, safe service and simple maintenance. The BOP we can provide are hydraulic dual-RAM BOP, hydraulic single-RAM BOP, manual dual-RAM BOP, manual single-RAM BOP, etc.
Structural Features:
(1) Body Structure;
1. Shape. The BOP has a body similar to square shape, having a vertical bore through which the pipes can pass and RAM cavities in which the rams move in the horizontal direction
2. Connection types. The BOP is offered with studded, flanged and hobbled top and bottom connections. The sizes of flanges, bolts, clamps and ring grooves all conform to API 16A.
(2) RAM structure
For dual-face RAM, the upper face and lower face of the RAM are exactly symmetrical. Various drilling tools with different sizes is only necessary to replace the semi-annular rubber sealing ring and RAM compact, the others can be interchanged;
Technical parameters
1. Rated working pressure levels: 2000psi, 3000psi, 5000psi; 10000psi, 15000psi;
2. Temperature level: T75, T25 and TO;
3. Rated working pressure of accumulator: 3000psi; Recommended working pressure: 1200-1500psi,
4. Upper connection and lower connection adopts flanged, studded and clamped connection;
5. Specification of hydraulic control oil ports: 1"NPT, adapter adopts 1-1/2" NPT;
6. The seal ring groove adopts stainless steel of bead weld or anti-corrosion alloy;
7. The materials adopted for bearing parts and pressure regulating parts are anti-corrosion and heat treated materials which can meet the NACE requirements and strengthen requirements;
8. Locking type: Hydraulic locking or manual locking;
9. Fitted rams: Pipe RAM and shear RAM
