Introduction
This machine is used to test contact surface of a pair of gears(straight bevel gears, spiral bevel gears and hypoid gears, diameter up to 500mm) that are at right angle and rotating at opposite direction. The test result will be applied to:
- Final inspection of gear parts to determine contact area and best locating distance.
- Determine adjustment data for gear cutting machine to modify contact area.
- Inspection during gear batch production to keep consistency.
- To get modify data to compensate heat treatment distortion by comparing test result of gear pairs before and after heat treatment.
