Woven PP Primary Backing fabric is used extensively for Tufted Carpet production.

They are available in different qualities or GSM and different construction of warp and weft to enable production of lighter, medium or dense carpet production. If you need to produce Dense carpets, putting more stitches on the tufting machine, you need to go for denser or higher gsm primary backing cloth.
