Laminated glass is a kind of security glass, which consists of two or more pieces of glass together with PVB film made by heating and pressurization. The shape of the glass can be flat or curved.
When the glass broken, the two layers are held together by the PVB and absorb the impact, only bring into radiation-like crackle, the fragment will not scatter out. It is safe and can not hurt people.
Tempered glass will not break into sharp shards,but will instead break into small pieeces or fragments.These fragments of tempered glass also called cuboids,because of their shape,and will not cut or cause harm as easily as regular glass.
The characteristics of safety
When the glass damage by external forces, debris into the similar alveolate obtuse angle broken small particles, not easy to cause serious harm to the human body.
High strength
tempered glass of the same thickness impact strength and bending strength is 3 ~ 5 times of the ordinary glass.
Function and Characteristic:
1. Good safety function. Laminated glass could stop external force attack and the chips will be bind with PVB after breakage to avoid making harm to person. And the glass could still keep intact from wind and rain in breakage status. So, it is widely used in the windshield glass for automobiles, building wall etc.
2. High anti-impact intensity. When it is striked, the glass is not easily broken. It's shockproof and anti-impact intensity is much better than common glass.
3. Unique anti-theft function. The glass is not easily broken and enters, so it is very safe.
4. Reduce noise. Intermediate film can cushioning sonic vibration so that sound insulation can be implemented.
5. Colorful appearances. PVC or glass has colorful appearances and can provide many choices for modern building design.
6. Easy Installation. The appearance and installation method of laminated glass sandwiched with transparent PVB film are the same with normal glass, but much more durable.
