 Product Overview:

OEO6500 Platform is an industry-leading optical transport platform, which supports flexible configurations and provides a Transparent Optical Transport Solution based on DWDM technology (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing) and CWDM (Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexing) technology serving with flexibility and cost-efficiency in transporting, multiplexing, switching and protecting high-speed data, storage and video applications. OEO6500 Platform service flexibility in access, backhaul, metro and long-haul networks.

 

To minimize transport cost and optimize efficiency in all network areas, OEO6500 Platform built with extremely flexible and modular architecture, the capacity of OEO6500 Platform can be expanded without service interruption up to 80 channels at 2.5G and 10G.

 

OEO6500 platform provides several mechanisms and protection levels in the optical layer, as well as various models of EDFA (Erbium Doped Fiber Amplifier) and Raman Optical Amplifiers which are able to extend terrestrial links distances up to 30km, 50km, 80km, 100km, 120km and over without intermediate regeneration.

  • Service Access and Aggregation Sub-System:
    • OTU Card: Optical Wavelength Conversion card, converting signal of arbitrary rate (125 Mbit/s–10 Gbit/s) at the client side into standard wavelength optical signal in compliance with G.692.
    • TMUX Card: Sub-Rate Multiplexer card, regenerating 2 1.25G service onto 1 2.5G, or regenerating 8 1.25G service onto 1 10G.
    • OEO Amplifier Card: Optical-Electricity-Optical (OEO) Amplifier card, 8 wavelength 125M-2.5G, 6 wavelength 125M-10G.
  • Multiplexer and Demultiplexer Sub-System:
    • OMUX Card: Optical Multiplexer and Demultiplexer Card for CWDM and DWDM.
    • OADM Card: Optical Add and Drop Multiplexing Card, adding/dropping and multiplexing any adjacent two channels of signals.
  • EDFA Sub-System:
    • EDFA Card: Booster Amplifier (BA), Pre-Amplifier (PA) and In-Line Amplifier (LA) card.
    • DCM Card: Dispersion Compensation Card, compensating for the optical signal dispersion accumulated during transmission
  • OLP Sub-System:
    • OLP Card: Optical Line Protection card, 1+1 and 1:1 protection, the protection mode is dual-fed and signal selection and single-end switching.
    • OBP Card: Optical Bypass Protection card, single-fiber bypass and dual-fiber bypass with built-in heartbeat detection.
