Designed in 1958, Arne Jacobsens instantly recognisable Egg chair was like its sibling the Swan a part of his foundations-to-soft-furnishings masterpiece, Copenhagens Royal Hotel (now the Radisson Blu Royal Hotel). While the hotel is uncompromisingly angular, the Eggs curves invite you to relax and unwind, aided by its tilt mechanism.
Equally at home in the sitting room or study, this magnificent armchair has a matching stool, and both are available in aniline leather or a cashmere/wool blend, and with or without piping

Piping is a type of double stitching, which actually creates a narrow fold all the way along the edge of the chair. The first original chair was created without piping however the newer version of the original now also has piping.
