Series Expansion – New Cutter Body and Insert Added to the WSX445 Series Low Cutting Resistance, Double Sided Insert Face Mill for General Machining

The WSX445 series with the proprietary Double Sided Z Geometry has received a favorable reception in the market place as a revolutionary face milling cutter that provides excellent economy due to the double sided insert (4-corner inserts). It also achieves low cutting resistance by utilizing features of both positive and negative rake inserts.

Diameters φ63 and φ80 have been added to the shank type cutter body and a new H chipbreaker for heavy cutting and L chipbreaker for non-ferrous alloy cutting have been added to complement the existing range. Additionally, MC5020 a new CVD coated grade for cast iron machining has also been added to allow wider range of applications.

Features of the insert to be added to the WSX445 series

1.MC5020 is a CVD coated grade suitable for machining cast iron. It has excellent abrasion resistance and gives long tool life by controlling chipping and thermal cracking that can occur when machining nodular cast iron.

2.The H chipbreaker features a strong cutting edge specially designed for heavy cutting and interrupted cutting.

3.The L chipbreaker for non-ferrous alloy cutting delivers substantially better welding resistance due to a sharp cutting edge and polished rake face.

Series Expansion - New Insert Grade Added to the AJX Series of High Feed Radius Milling Cutters

The existing AJX series of has a proven track record for high feed, high efficiency machining. 
To complement the existing range, PVD coated carbide grades MP7130 and MP7140 for machining stainless steels have been added. Additionally a new JL chipbreaker featuring a sharp cutting edge with low cutting resistance has also been added.

1.The low resistance JL chipbreaker edge design reduces cutting heat and helps to control insert wear.

2.Newly developed Tough-∑ Technology (accumulated Al-Ti-Cr-N based PVD coating) with multi-layering of the coating prevents any cracks penetrating through to the substrate and dramatically improves fracture resistance.

3.Through the use of TiN based components, the PVD coated carbide grades MP7130 and MP7140 prevents flank wear at the depth of cut line that can occur when machining stainless.

Series Expansion - New Insert Grade Added to the AHX640 Series General Purpose Multi Corner Insert Type Face Milling Cutter

The existing AHX640 series has received a favorable reception in the market place as a face milling cutter with its excellent economy and efficiency through the adoption of the heptagonal double sides insert (14 corner inserts). To complement the existing range, 2 new PVD coated carbide insert grades, VP15TF and VP20RT for milling cast iron have been added with MK and HK chipbreakers.

Features of the PVD coated carbide grade VP15TF/VP20RT

1.VP15TF/VP20RT helps prevent chipping and fracturing when used in low cutting speed, interrupted machining and when wet cutting cast and ductile cast irons.

2.Stable machining is enhanced when the coating is combined with a high wear and fracture resistant carbide substrate.

3.Due to the excellent heat resistance and oxidation resistance, the VP15TF and VP20RT grades realize stable machining. Moreover, high adhesion strength to the substrate improves tool life.

New High Feed Finish Milling Cutter FMAX

A special alloy steel and aluminium body in the FMAX cutter combine to provide rigidity and light weight.
The new high feed finish milling cutter FMAX offers super efficient machining through the adoption of an ultra fine pitch tooth design.
This helps to achieve high efficiency machining of F (about) 20m/min. (Tool diameter 125mm, 24 teeth, when machining a non-ferrous metal such as aluminium alloy) FMAX delivers efficiency when machining and is especially effective for high feed machining of automotive parts.

Features of FMAX cutter

1.The Body Protector on the rake face forms chip shapes ideal for disposal and disperses them away from the body. Internal coolant also aids this process.

2.A special alloy steel and aluminium body combine to provide rigidity and light weight. Also with an anti-fly dovetail clamping mechanism.

3.The combination of both a large and micro screw provides precise run-out adjustment and for adjusting new or re-ground inserts (5 micron or better).

Series Expansion - New High Feed Duplex Corner Radius End Mill VF-FDRB

The existing IMPACT MIRACLE end mill series has received a favorable reception in the market place for efficient, high feed machining of hardened steels up to 60 HRC. In addition other materials used in the mould and die industry such as general purpose and pre-hardened steels can be effectively machined.
The series now includes a high efficiency end mill, VF-FDRB, targeted for high feed and rough machining applications.

Features of the VF-FDRB, IMPACT MIRACLE end mill series

1.The duplex corner geometry is composed of large and small corner radii.This helps to reduce cutting resistance and tool deflection as well as suppressing vibration during high feed machining.

2.The multi-flute design is effective for high feed machining.

3.VF-FDRB provides long tool life and stable machining for high hardened steels (50HRC) and is effective in long overhang applications.

Series Expansion - iMX Exchangeable Head End Mill Series

The iMX series has received a favorable reception in the market place as a revolutionary end mill system that provides excellent economy and enables efficiency, high accuracy and rigidity by combining the advantages of both solid carbide and indexable end mills. Overall rigidity close to that of a solid type end mills is realized because the clamping faces of the holder and head are carbide.

Features of the iMX end mill series expansion

1.Newly developed duplex corner radius heads enable high feed machining with low cutting resistance. This is made possible because the duplex corner geometry is composed of large and small corner radii.

2.A new straight holder and offset head (cutting edge length > shank diameter) for deeper overhang milling are now available.

3. Square and corner radius heads are now available in a long cutting edge type (2 x D).
