Cast Iron Alloys FeSiMg ( 6 - 1 ) Mg 5 - 7% With SiMg8RE3 For Nodular Cast Iron
FeSiMg(6-1): Mg:5-7%, Re, 0.5-1.5%, Si:38-44%, Ca:2-3%, Al:1.0%max Ti:0.5%max, Fe:balance
Size:5-30mm(90%min)
Soundness in microstructures with omogeneous composition, littlesegregation and lower MgO content. Stable and even lasting with highabsorption of Mg. Much smaller and globular graphite and highnodularization efficency when treted.
Nodularization temperature is recommended at 1400~1450when melted from a cupola, or at 1450~1500 when from anelectric furnace. Added at 1.5~1.8% when sulphur in the liquidcast iron is as high as 0.065~0.09%, or 1.4%~1.5% when sulphur is as high asa 0.05~0.065%.
Applications:
Tundish-cover spheroidisation process is adopted in trial-manufacture. NodulizerFeSiMg6RE2 of low Mg and FeSiMg8RE3 in normal use are experimentalized in the competitive text. The component of FeSiMg6RE2 is as follows, 6.2%Mg, 2.7% RE, 39.5%Si, 2.50%Ca, 2.3%Ba, 0.09%Bi.
